ORIGINAL ART by Texas Artist, Marnie Miller titled "Crow Moon "Kãʔkãʔkoowe Neepãʔuk" Mahican Dialect" copyright May 2021. This one of a kind piece is hand painted on natural fine art cotton canvas. The raw, primitive weave of this superior quality canvas works perfectly for loose hanging or unstretched canvas art. This listing includes the painted unstretched canvas, the earth friendly hand harvested cedar hanger branch, leather fringe made from recycled/repurposed leather bought at a local charity thrift store and three spirit tassels /wall charms shown hanging on each side of the painted art. Spirit tassels just add a little depth and Native American style to the piece. They are made with antlers, bones, sticks, feathers, seeds, beads, horse tail and other natural tribal elements. Using time honored techniques to create a bohemian/hippie vibe with rustic appeal and modern style, these pieces are simple modern bohemian and beautifully unrefined. The unhemmed canvas edges are exposed with some moderate fraying and an artsy vintage vibe. These pieces do not need to be framed. I created the wall display as a part of the art itself. It's ready to hang. An official certificate of authenticity hand signed by the artist is also included with all original art purchases.

The simple hanging cedar branch has depth, texture and magnetic interest. It was hand selected by me near an old livestock and hay barn (built in the late 1800s) in the Northeastern corner of Texas. The branch was taken from a fallen tree damaged in a forest fire many years ago. When managing our horse property and small farm, downed trees with sharp branches and limbs can be unsafe for livestock and young foals. With a minimalistic atmosphere in mind, I created these art pieces to work great in just about ANY room setting.

I'm really just a big kid with a box of finger paints creating new things, honoring old things and combining many things in the name of self awareness through creative expression. My art is to me just another type of fingerprint. It's an intricate evaluation of the world from the artist's perspective. Each piece is a part of me before I create it and never leaves my soul no matter where it makes a home.
