Details
As I stood before my canvas on a cold and wintery day, gazing out over the frozen pond with its glistening ice and the evergreen trees swaying in the brisk wind, I embarked on a creative journey that would become a profound connection with both my subject and a musical muse. This painting, the embodiment of the Native American Warrior, was a labor of love that unfolded amidst the stillness of the winter landscape. As I meticulously crafted the warrior's visage, the hauntingly beautiful melodies of R. Carlos Nakai's tribal sounds filled the air. His music, an echo of centuries-old traditions, became the heartbeat of my creative process. It was as if his spirit infused the canvas, breathing life into the character I was bringing forth. The warrior, painted with turquoise and white face markings, bore the weight of generations in the stark, cracking black lines that traversed his countenance. His untamed hair flowed freely, adorned with feathers that whispered tales of his ancestors. Draped in buffalo hide, fur adorning his shoulders, he stood as a symbol of resilience, strength, and enduring spirit. In the depths of his eyes, one could discern a complex tapestry of emotions—a fusion of anger and sorrow, mingled with a deep sense of mourning. Yet, beneath this veneer of pain, there existed an undeniable power, a fierce determination rising from the depths of his soul. It was a piercing connection that transcended the canvas, reaching out to the beholder, demanding recognition. The warrior's rugged beauty was a reflection of his culture's rich tapestry, a testament to the power of spirituality, and a tribute to the enduring legacy of his people. His posture exuded unwavering integrity, a silent declaration of his indomitable spirit. My artistic journey, inspired by the magnificent work of Kirby Sattler and guided by the spirit of R. Carlos Nakai, led to the creation of this piece—a tribute to the Native American culture, a celebration of its power and beauty, and a proclamation of its resilience. With the utmost reverence and with Kirby Sattler's artistic blessings, I now share this work with the world. May this painting serve as a bridge between cultures, a vessel for understanding, and a testament to the enduring strength and spirit of Native American heritage.

Rag Cotton Paper prints are on Super Premium 100% cotton rag cotton paper ( the kind that lasts for 100s of years) This paper is GORGEOUS y'all. It has a soft, subtle texture and it just really looks super expensive... because it is super expensive.
The paper prints are limited edition signed and numbered collector's pieces ( hand signed by the artist in the studio). That makes them more valuable some day, we hope and pray.
The size of the print is the actual paper size. Theres a 1 inch white border around the art and the original signature and numbers are signed in the white portion at the bottom of the art.
These are not framed. It's just the fine art rag cotton paper print, signed and numbered rolled up and placed in a protective shipping tube.
Canvas prints are printed on 100% Cotton Museum Quality Canvas ( the same stuff you'd find in a fancy smancy art gallery... wait, maybe I am a fancy smancy art gallery?)
Rolled canvas prints - That just means that the wooden part doesn't come with it. It's just the canvas print rolled up and shipped in a tube like the paper one's. This is a perfect print of the
original art with the edges extended a full 2.5 inches all the way around. That gives you plenty of extra for stretching your own canvas on either the skinny .75 thickness stretcher bars or the 1.5" gallery wrapped thickness. ( See the photo above on the listing to explain the differences between options.)
Stretched canvas prints - That just means that the wooden part, the framework behind the canvas, is indeed included. Stretched canvas is ready to hang right out of the box. .75 is the skinnier frame that you'd want if you're going to add a decorative frame around the canvas. You know, like a pretty, stylish, cool or funky frame. Anyway, if you want to frame your stretched canvas, go with the skinnier .75 option. If you want the gallery wrapped look, you'll want to choose the 1.5 thickness, for that thicker and bulkier side profile fine art gallery look. Both of these have finished edges all the way around so they look great right out of the box. Both are ready to hang, with or without framing. ( See the photo above on the listing to explain the differences between options.) Same with the canvas prints, no frames or decorative room stuff. Just the artwork.
I'm the artist, Marnie Miller, and I promise you this; I'm right here in the slap dab middle of it every single day and not a print leaves this studio that I didn't touch, inspect and verify clarity, color and the integrity of the artwork, MYSELF. Art is not what I do, it's who I am. This my dream and my life. I want you to LOVE your art and treat me like a friend. That's my quest.
I do take custom commissions from time to time. If you have an interesting idea or would like to talk about commissioning original art, I'm all ears. Lets talk about it. I LOVE new ideas and people... so people with new ideas are like biscuits and gravy!!! Fantastic.

Each piece is well protected with three coats of heirloom quality clear acrylic and will not yellow or discolor over time. I cant stress the importance of protecting you original art from water damage, excess moisture, condensation or extreme heat.
